Take one part ballet barre with 2 parts Pilates Reformer and you got yourself a new enemy of the state. The butt, hips and thighs undesirable state that is! Nothing targets that part of the body better while still giving attention to the mother ship of all muscles the abdominals. It’s Pilates after all!

A week before 2018 rolled in we unveiled our new baby. A perfectly curated and crafted tour de Reformer utilizing the Jumpboard and the gondola and tried and true movements we already implemented in our PilatesBarre class to bring life to Reformer Barre. Testing began. Feedback poured in and we knew we were on to something when we saw the smiling, sweaty people leaving the studio. Made us consider getting scented cooling towels just for the occasion.

With long-time Core Pilates NYC talent and teacher’s extraordinaire Dan Weltner and Kelli Cruz leading the way in their classes, clients are flocking to it for not only the creative spin on the classical exercises (for both Pilates and Barre) but for the laughter and personality that fills the air with those 2. Expect a warm up using the Pilates Gondola Pole, standing Pilates, hip openers, hamstring work, inner thighs to scream, balance, and then kick-ass Reformer Barre hybrid moves only found here!
