Our Core Crossover Program is designed for certified instructors looking to deepen their understanding of the Classical method and align with the Core approach.

This is a focused, immersive training that bridges your existing knowledge into a more structured, classical system—refining how you see, understand, and teach the work.

Your tuition includes training sessions, online platform access, and ongoing faculty guidance throughout the program.

For those who prefer added flexibility, a payment plan is available.
Total investment with payment plan: $4,295.

Training requirements may vary by host studio.

At Core Pilates NYC, students are required to maintain an active 6-month membership throughout the duration of the program—supporting a consistent personal practice alongside their training.

This provides regular access to apparatus classes and ensures you stay connected to the work in your own body as you learn to teach it.

We offer a range of membership options to meet you where you are, so you can choose what feels aligned both practically and financially.

The Crossover at a Glance.

At Core Pilates NYC, we  recognize and welcome teachers who have earned their certifications through other respected Pilates organizations. Our Core Crossover Program (also known as Bridging) is designed specifically for comprehensively certified instructors who want to expand their knowledge and refine their skills within the Classical Pilates tradition. Far from starting over, this program offers experienced teachers the opportunity to deepen their understanding, get mentoring from Core’s best in the biz resident faculty, and immerse themselves in the lineage and classical methodology that has made us a leader in teacher training since 2002.

If you are already certified as a fully comprehensive Pilates teacher and want to expand your expertise, our Crossover Program is designed for you. The program is the ideal next step if you’re ready to:

Revisit leveled and organized modules – Beginner through Advanced apparatus training.

Chances are some of your favorite teachers in NYC are Core grads. You’ll acquire that special ‘it factor’ that the industry has come to respect.

You’ll get ignited again into a refreshed and refined teaching voice, style, and preparedness.

Bespoke mentoring from Core’s renowned educators

A prereq goes without saying! Most likely you’ve been teaching a ton already.

Before starting our Core Crossover Program, you will need to have been certified as a fully comprehensive Pilates teacher by a reputable teacher training program. Crossover applicants must have passed and completed a minimum of a 450-hour comprehensive program. Do note, that if you require more than 300 apprenticeship hours, you will need to apply for our full certification course.

To successfully complete the program, you will need to attend our intensive weekend trainings (beginner, intermediate and advanced weekends) and complete 300 practice hours before a final assessment or “test out.” You’ll also need to pass a beginner and intermediate level practical test out as well.

Maintain a weekly Pilates practice at Core at least once a week through the duration of the program. Choose from one of our mandatory training memberships to fit your budget. This varies by Host Studio.

You’ll be joining with our enrolled Comprehensive apprentices for the required weekends, online study, mentor calls/meetings, and community. The only difference is the required length of hours before you graduate.

You step into a rigorous lineage-based system where every movement is a lesson in control, precision, and anatomical intelligence. This is not Reformer only Pilates or Pilates as fitness trend; this is a METHOD as Joseph Pilates intended – undiluted, demanding, and deeply powerful. Expect to be deconstructed and rebuilt, not only as a mover but as a teacher, immersed in the full classical repertoire across the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, and Barrels, Small Equipment and Modern Props widely used. You’ll log hours practicing, observing, and teaching, under the watchful eye of mentors who expect excellence, not shortcuts.

To ensure your education is not only through study but in practice – your OWN practice – we require all enrollees to select a monthly training package that lasts the duration of the 3 – 4 months that you will be in studio as a Crossover apprentice. Our intake advisor will get you all set up with this upon acceptance into the program.

Autopay is set monthly. Choose one option that fits your budget.

6 month membership. 8 x per month  $249/mo

6 month membership. 12 x per month $339/mo *best per class value!

A 6‑month immersive apprenticeship spanning 5 weekend intensives, totaling 600 instructional hours. This includes 150 hours across the 5 live weekend intensives. The remaining 450 hours are comprised of in‑studio apprenticeship, observation, teaching practice, and home study.

Curriculum, mentors, faculty, manuals, online platform and use of the studio and equipment.

All test out assessments are included (retest for a fee).

ACE & NASM credits (3.4 ACE, 3.2 NASM)

Upon acceptance into the program and right after your enrollment you’ll dive into this new world of Pilates by accessing your online dashboard and making your way through an online self-paced study moderated by a CPNYC faculty member. Cozy up with and be saturated with instructional videos, manuals, interactive discussions and quizzes. Self-paced to show up on day one super prepared.

While these are mandatory for our Comprehensive cohort, these are optional for our Crossover particpants.

Anatomy in Clay Fundamentals: Hands‑on anatomy training.

Special Cases & Injury Modifications Seminar with accompanying manual.

Small Equipment & Modern Props seminar (live and video-based).

“Tower Wars” Event – an immersive, creative sequencing challenge.

Final Assessments: Structured exams and test-outs are included (any required retests are subjected to a fee).

Certification: Earn the CPNYC Comprehensive Certificate of Training, which positions you to sit for the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) credential.

On passing, you will receive a globally recognized certificate of training to teach all over the world. You will be a well-respected 3rd generation teacher in the classical system that was Joseph Pilates’ life’s work. You will add another teaching style and vocabulary to your current skills –  new ways to cue, look at a body and use the apparatus. You will also be part of a supportive community and gain friendships for life.

A certificate is issued only after successfully passing all required assessments, homework, quizzes, and submitting required hours and practice time.

You’ll be prepared to sit for the The National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) exam (formerly PMA Exam) which is a third-party, non-brand-affiliated credentialing exam that is run by the Pilates Method Alliance, the main professional association for Pilates teachers.

Getting certified through the NPCP boosts your credibility and confidence and shows you meet a recognized global standard in the industry. This exam is optional and can be taken at any time in your career. It is NOT required to successfully graduate from our program.
