Presents
Anatomy In Clay™
All students of Core Pilates NYC’s
courses will learn basic principles
of anatomy through hands on, interactive
skeletal models and clay! With scalpel
in hand – you’ll have fun layering,
carving and sculpting clay into muscles
for an anatomy experience that won’t
be forgotten. We go over bones and
movement of the body in a way that
is clear and fun and pertains to
Pilates.

Unlike other Pilates mat certification programs, Core
Pilates NYC integrates both beginner mat AND intermediate
mat exercises together in one course. Students will
become fluent in teaching over 30 Pilates mat exercises,
the classical Pilates beginner and intermediate mat
order, as well as innovative modifications to challenge
or simplify each exercise according to varying fitness
levels or common injuries.
The Core Advantage:
- Designed to provide a solid foundation in the
Classical Mat exercises while guiding students
on how to best structure a class for varying
fitness levels and environments, from private
clients to large gym or studio group classes
- Enrollment into the course is limited to ensure
individualized attention, effective group practice,
and a small student to teacher ratio.
- Anatomy: No more boring lectures. You will get
your hands dirty - literally - as you explore
basic anatomy and how it relates to Pilates movement
through Core's Anatomy in Clay™ workshop. With
clay and skeletal models the workshop is interactive,
fun, and a creative approach to understanding
anatomy.
- The course also provides helpful information
about how to apply the skills learned in the
course and how to make money doing it.
- Enrolled students receive 5 free mat classes
once the deposit is received.
- Core’s Mat Training course includes an optional
“apprenticeship” which is included with tuition.
Students may use the studio for the week in between
the course study and one week after the course
ends to observe mat classes, practice with each
other or bring in friends to practice on. Times
restricted to 12pm through 5pm only and begins
after the first weekend.
Prerequisites
10 - 15 hours of Pilates mat instruction. You must
physically understand the Method before learning
to teach it. Students will be asked to submit a log
of classes taken or a letter of reference from a
certified Pilates teacher.
