It’s the least expensive class at most Pilates studios so most people find a consistent practice that leads to results!
Mat classes are everywhere! But the classical ideals and principles, which make for a truly challenging mat class, are mostly found at Pilates studios.
Mat classes are great for realigning imbalances in the body with low impact exercises. Pilates eases stress on the spinal column and teaches you how better to hold your body.
Pilates Mat classes will teach any beginner the principles of Pilates. Once those principles are understood in the mind and body it is ok to proceed into apparatus work.
The workout is hard. You work for the results given in a Pilates Mat class. Some say they are more challenging than apparatus classes because you have no help when finding
alignment and balance. See for yourself!
This 45-minute express class gets you in and out faster than the 2, 3 express train on a good day - but don't expect it easy! Flow and proper transitions are at the forefront of this class with focus on alignment and strength training. Magic circles, therabands and other props are often incorporated.
This class is perfect for the beginner in need of understanding the classical principles of Pilates movement. The class moves with more ease than our other class offerings so you can refine the work and understand your body’s connectivity while still experiencing a challenging workout.
All are welcome but this class is designed for the strong beginner and intermediate client. An open level class combines Joseph Pilates’ classical principles of flow and precision to the most fundamental of Pilates’ work – the floor routine. Pilates props are often included.
Our early morning Pilates classes get your body started off right before the workday even begins. We reward early risers with a kick-butt Pilates flow class focusing on core strength and stretching in this 45-minute class. Oh, and only $10.
The Advanced Mat class puts your knowledge and foundation of the Pilates principals to the test with more advanced variations and choreography. Challenge your core to the max and see your waistline melt away.
As if precision with your body parts alone wasn't enough, this class requires coordination and control with a few of our favorite Pilates props including the Magic Circle, bands, balls, weights and more.
