Completed CPNYC’s Beginner Level Mat Course or an equivalent course at another training center.
A minimum of 10 – 15 hours of Pilates Mat instruction at Core Pilates NYC.
If previous courses or classes have been taken at another studio, students will be asked to submit a log of classes taken or a letter of reference from the studio or certified Pilates teacher.
The principles at play within the Intermediate level Mat repertoire are explored at a deeper level within this course in addition to learning, teaching and practicing the new exercises introduced. Oppositional cueing and the importance of transitions are discussed and practiced and teaching you how to deliver a dynamic class with flow and precision is a key focus.
Intermediate level Mat instruction: Learn the entire intermediate mat order and how to challenge the beginner level exercises
Exams: 50-minute practical test on intermediate level sequence. Take home written exam
Apprenticeship: During the week after the course, the studio is available to students for observation of classes and practice time as part of an optional apprenticeship.
5 free mat classes may be used at any time during the course
Anatomy in Clay 3-hour workshop is presented. Build the bones and basic muscles, abdominals and spine
