What kind of bagel do you like and how do you prefer to “dress” it?
I love a cinnamon raison bagel dressed in either peanut/almond or cashew butter and strawberry preserves. Best way to start my day – YUM!!
What’s your favorite exercise to teach and do you have a special spin to it that you prefer?
I like to teach several but I think the best one that sticks in my mind is the Hundred. Start pumping your arms vigorously as if you were tapping your fingers on top of a small puddle of water, keep reaching for the end of the puddle and don’t get yourself wet!
If Joseph Pilates were alive today, what would you ask him?
How did you know what to do and how did you come up with such a brilliant exercise program that got every single body part involved and working?

Top 3 things on your “To Do Before You Die” list?
More traveling anywhere and everywhere, embrace my old and new friendships rich with lots of love and to keep my mind and body healthy well into my golden years!
What’s the farthest point from the Core studio (or NYC) that you’ve done Pilates?
Saint Martin, N.A.
What’s your Pilates “a-ha” moment?
Finding the opposition – especially on the Wunda Chair. Doing Pull Ups and the variations…I would just use my arms to help me “pull up”, then one day I clicked into opposition and core mode and “voila” I just about floated – effortless!
Two words that describe your teaching style?
Clean and careful!
Favorite type of sessions or classes to teach and why?
I love teaching my private clients. They are great people, bright, hard workers with interesting, diverse careers and lives. I also love teaching classes that have the recipe of success. Full capacity, high energy where the room is humming with power and flow and total synchronization.
Care to share any teaching blunders?
I have been with a client where I have caught myself changing and putting back the springs on the wrong hooks ( crossing the red spring where the blue or yellow spring should go) and realizing it too late to correct as my client has just about finished that exercise.
Where can we find you usually on any given Friday eve?
Driving out to my house on the North Fork of Long Island
