Best thing to eat for breakfast?

Coffee!!!! I know it is a drink...but my day does not occur unless I have had some.

What’s your favorite exercise to teach and do you have a special spin to it that you prefer to throw at your clients?

There are a few........ But I would say Rolling like a Ball. My special little twist is having people balance and only move an inch or two in each direction so that they can get that connection to their abs and really see how you should be moving before you go to the "full on" rolling. When you suddenly realize that it is your abs getting you back to that upright position and not you just rolling around is an awesome breakthrough!!!

If Joseph Pilates were alive today, what would you ask him?

TOO MUCH!!!!!  But I would have to inquire about the short shorts.

Top 3 places you’ve traveled?

Colombia....But it is my life's goal to fill up my passport with stamps to everywhere!!!!

Top 3 things on your “To Do Before You Die” list?

To see everything.......Twice!!!

What’s your Pilates “a-ha” moment?

Doing horseback........HELLO PELVIC FLOOR!!!!

Two words that describe your teaching style

Party meets Precision

Care to share any teaching blunders?

I was getting ready to do Push Through  with a duet. It was my first time teaching and I was very nervous.....I had put the safety chain on the bars. So, the bars did not move when I cued the clients to "push through"!!!! Hey it could have happened to anybody!!! They are good clients of mine...I like to point that out from time to time.

How has Pilates changed your body?

Pilates has not only changed my body but, it has also given me a new career and way to help people feel better about themselves. I had worked as an Production and Event Designer. After, a back injury that lead to other problems and finally surgery I had to find a new way to make a living. I was an active athlete and dancer and heard about Pilates through other dancer friends and had even done some basic movements for my physical rehabilitation. I fell in love with it!! I felt good and was helping other people to take better care of themselves. As a result I could continue to have an active and productive life and follow through with my passion for salsa dance and teach Zumba.
