Bone-ing Up On Strength Workshop

September 13th, 2010

To hear recently that actress Gwyneth Paltrow was diagnosed with Osteopenia and reportedly, according to her doctors, has the bones of an 80-year-old, sent shivers down my spine. Literally. I can’t remember the last glass of milk I had and although I am a meat eater (experts are pointing at her macrobiotic diet as partly to blame), I too worry that my bones are on the down slide.

How timely it is to quench the thirst of our bones and our minds on what we can do to prevent and understand the disease. Join leading international expert Rebekah Rotstein for a workshop titled: Bone-ing Up On Strength: Prevention and Addressing Osteoporosis hosted at the Core Pilates NYC studio.

Join us and Rebekah Rotstein for a discussion and exercises to learn Bone Basics 101 and how you can protect your skeleton.

You do not have to be a fitness instructor to discover the do’s and don’ts of bone health, tips to prevent bone loss and what to do if you already have it.
Open to non-fitness professionals

The remainder of the afternoon is for Pilates and exercise instructors and anyone looking for a deeper understanding of exercise and movement targeting the bones. You already train your muscles — now learn to train your bones!
